Bluetooth

Is there a way to use wire to communicate with bluetooth devices. Building an app that will be used to scout at robotics competitions and bluetooth is the most reliable wireless communication available at those events.

Currently RareWire does not support the External Accessory Framework. Based on this topic I have submitted a feature request to our dev team. Apple and Android both have an API for this, we would just need to add it to our engine and it hasn't to date been a pressing issue for us.

Should I tell the student to pursue other options with regard to bluetooth?

If the deadline is pressing then yes, this is not high on the dev team road map at this point.
